Hearing, "YOU LOOK GREAT. How did you do it???" I got an e-mail from a sweet gal I worked with at one of my first stations over on the coast. She has a couple of little boys and said she has been trying to lose some weight for years now. She remembers me at about 25-years-old, what I would consider my “Glory Days” at least physically (before NOW ). I was a size 5 and probably (I suppose) at my most aesthetically pleasing.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAID?????????? She said that I haven’t changed a bit!!! OMG – bless her heart, if she only knew!!!!! I have been up and down the scale, had a baby and got sober.
I was at my heaviest in the summer of ’05 (200+!) and NOTHING got that weight off, until Medifast. But isn’t that awesome, for someone to say that I haven’t changed? Her perception was that I was magically one of “those girls” who just stayed slim.
Not me. When I wrote her back, I pointed her to this page and she was pleasantly pleased that I was “Human Afterall”. And now she’s on Medifast too… YOU GO GIRL!!!

I can’t believe that it’s been over a year since those 54 pounds have been gone. Every once in a while, I run into someone who hasn’t seen me in FOREVER and their enthusiasm and compliments still bowl me over.
There are times that it seems like not so long ago that I couldn’t get my size 16 pants on, and some days I feel I have been free and healthy forever!!! I am constantly reminded that my back doesn’t hurt anymore, I can cross my legs, do killer Yoga, and run 5Ks 3 times per week in the morning before I head to work.
This life feels SOOO GOOD! And I am so grateful! This afternoon I cleaned out my closet and saw the tiny tank tops and shorts from last July. I tried them on with my new tummy-tucked tummy and I almost cried! At 40 years of age, I am healthier than I have EVER been and aesthetically I am at my peak...

First off, you look absolutely great. Your story is very similar to mine. I've always fought with my weight, and I think I could gain 10 pounds by just thinking about eating or looking at a piece of cake. I am still approached almost DAILY by folks asking me -- "What does it taste like?" and "Where can I get it?" I hear it at the post office, the mall, on the bike trail --- everywhere!
